Introduction and Mission Statement

January 11th, 2026 - Welcome! I’m Laura Corvinus. I created Odd Theropod with my partner Kal to share our ideas, discoveries, and creative work. Kal and I have been best friends since 2002, and we’ve been gaming and collaborating on projects together ever since. We have over a decade of experience working in the game industry between us, but our superpower as curious creatives is how we synthesize this with our wider range of interests. We explore the psychology behind sustainably engaging gamer motivations, the overlap between game loops and disaster recovery cycles, and draw on our passion for Science to offer worlds that feel more alive and inspire reflection.
